Winter Internships

AI Automation Intern, Winter 2027

The AI Automation Intern builds workflow automations for real clients: mapping the repetitive work in a business, connecting the tools it runs on and shipping automations that keep running. You work with the engineers who scope and own each build.

Season
January through March 2027, with start dates that flex by a few weeks.
Format
Remote, with a few fixed hours each week for working sessions with the team.

What You Will Do

  • Map a client's repetitive processes with the team and rank them by payoff.

  • Build automations that connect CRMs, inboxes, ticketing and finance tools.

  • Test on real client data and document what each automation does and when it hands off to a person.

  • Watch automations after launch and help fix what a vendor change breaks.

What We Look For

  • You have automated something real, for yourself or for someone else, and can show it.

  • You are comfortable reading API documentation and debugging a failed run.

  • You write clearly. Most of this work is explaining what a system does to people who did not build it.

How To Apply

Email hello@automagic.agency with the role in the subject line, a few lines on what you have built or automated, and links to anything we can look at. Applications are reviewed as they arrive. Compensation and schedule are discussed in the first conversation.

Common Questions

Do I need to be a software engineer for this internship?

No. You need to have built or automated something real and be comfortable reading documentation and debugging. Operators who automated their own work are as welcome as computer science students.

What tools will I use?

AI coding and agent tools, integration platforms, and the client's own systems. The specific stack depends on the build, and learning it quickly is part of the work.

Is the internship remote?

Yes, with a few fixed hours each week for working sessions with the team. The rest of the schedule is discussed in the first conversation.
